Maj Gen Ajay Seth, VSM (Retd) was commissioned into the Garhwal Rifles Regiment of the Indian Army in December 1982. During his distinguished military career, he held several key operational, command, and strategic appointments, including service in counter-insurgency operations in Jammu & Kashmir, command of an Infantry Division in Sikkim, and Additional Director General, International Cooperation. Since retirement, he has remained actively engaged in strategic affairs through lectures and writings. As Chairman of the IIFOMAS Board, he provides strategic leadership in advancing dialogue, policy, and international cooperation in Mine Action, humanitarian safety, and post-conflict recovery.
With a master’s degree in human resources & management, Mr. Nadeem Saleem has rich professional experience of 18 years. During these years, he has worked and helped companies recruit for short and long-term projects.
Ms. Eishna Mittal Coetzee is a seasoned finance professional with a diverse background in logistics, humanitarian aid, and sustainable energy. She has held key leadership roles in various organizations and is currently the Director of Finance and Business Development at Horizon.
Maj Gen Hemant Joneja, AVSM, VSM (Retd.) is a highly decorated Indian Army veteran with 38 years of distinguished service in strategic leadership, administration, and operational management. A United Nations Peacekeeping veteran he brings extensive experience in defence, humanitarian initiatives, and post-conflict management. As a Board Member of IIFOMAS, he contributes his expertise to advancing Mine Action, safety, and sustainable development initiatives across the globe.
Col Anil Bakshi (Retd.) is the Secretary General of IIFOMAS and a distinguished veteran with extensive experience in strategic leadership, humanitarian mine action, and international project management. He has been instrumental in advancing initiatives that promote Mine Action, safety, post-conflict recovery, and sustainable development through global partnerships and policy dialogue. With over three decades of experience in defence and humanitarian operations, he plays a pivotal role in fostering collaboration among governments, international organizations, industry, and academia to strengthen global mine action capabilities and contribute to building safer and more resilient communities.
Mr. Jonathan Coetzee is the Technical Manager at Horizon Group and serves as the technical member of the IIFOMAS Board. He brings extensive field experience in humanitarian mine action, encompassing technical planning, explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) operations, and land release methodologies. His expertise includes the application of modern technologies and international best practices in complex and post-conflict operational environments. Through his technical leadership, he contributes significantly to advancing safe, effective, and innovative Mine Action initiatives that support sustainable development and human security worldwide.
