Maj Gen Ajay Seth was commissioned in Garhwal Rifles Regiment of Indian Army in December 1982. He served in Op Blue Star, done number of tenures in J&K in Insurgency including command of Battalion during famous Counter Insurgency Operation Sarp Vinash in Hill Kaka area in 2003, thereafter commanded a Rashtriya Rifles Sector again during Counter Insurgency. As a General Officer, Commanded a Division in Sikkim. As Additional Director General International Cooperation, he steered Defence Cooperation with Armed Forces of foreign countries. Post superannuation he has been delivering talks and writing articles.
